| Photography has always been an important part of my life. I can remember standing in the darkroom with my grandfather when I was three years old. I had to stand on an overturned bucket to be able to see the prints developing. Watching images of me he had taken earlier the same day appear before my eyes was magical! I took my first photography class in high school. The magic of watching the images appear was still there. Through college, I recorded many events and places with my camera. At some point, I realized I never kept a written diary- I keep photo albums! With the birth of my twins, Theresa and Patrick, in 1990, and their brother Michael three years later, recording those special moments, new discoveries, and sweet expressions became even more important. My camera was a constant part of our lives. As I documented my children, there was a gradual, natural progression to documenting the children of my cousins and friends. In 2001, I started working towards making photography my career. I spent a few years of working full time at another job, and building my photography business at the same time. Since June 2004, I have been a full time photographer. Photographs are still magical. They can instantly take us back to a time and place that was precious to us then, and is even more dear to us now that it is past. Photographs remind us of the most important things in our lives-the people and our relationships with them. I work to capture the looks and expressions that you know and love. Portrait sessions are relaxed and fun. My style is simple- I'll put you at ease, and show you at your best. For wedding coverage, I will be as unobtrusive as possible during the ceremony and reception, while working with you to capture the emotions and moments that make your day uniquely yours. I look forward to the honor of recording the love and happiness of your wedding day, or creating family heirlooms you will treasure. |
